Welcome to purposeful living today.

In our last post we looked at time and change as two things we can't stop or control from happening in our lives.

The secret to life is the effective management of "time and change".

The principle key to effective management of time and change is PLANNING.

What  is planning?

Planning is the process of deciding when, what, where and how to do a certain activity before starting to work.

It is an intellectual process which needs a lot of thinking before a formation of plans.

If you aim at nothing you will not shoot amiss.

If you don't plan your time someone else will put you in their plan.

The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance, but everyone who is hasty comes only to poverty. Proverbs 21:5

Planning is to set goals and to make certain guidelines achieve the goals.

Planning is nothing but thinking before the action takes place. It helps us to take a peep into the future and decide in advance the way to deal with the situations, which we are going to encounter in future.

It involves logical thinking and rational decision making.

A goal without a plan is just a wish.

Importance of Planning

  • It helps to improve future performance , by establishing objectives and selecting a course of action.
  • It minimises risk and uncertainty, by looking ahead into the future.
  • It facilitates the coordination of activities thus, reduces overlapping among activities and eliminates unproductive work.
  • It states in advance, what should be done in future, so it provides direction for action.
  • It uncovers and identifies future opportunities and threats.
  • It sets out standards for controlling . It compares actual performance with the standard performance and efforts are made to correct the same.

By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.

Good planning without good working is nothing.

Plan your work and work your plan.

Planning is very important in all we do.

We have heard the popular saying that "if you fail to plan, you plan to fail."

Without planning for a particular undertaking, there will be uncertainty and events will definitely turn out haphazardly.

What are your plans for today?

What are your plans for this week or the coming ones?

What are your plans for each month in 2020?

We must always intentionally make plans and set goals coupled with asking God for direction and for His will to take utmost preeminence.

Let us live life intentionally and not accidentally for in so doing, events and happenings won't take us unawares and only the best will be actualized in our lives.

Planning is winning and it's what gives value to purpose.

There is nothing of value without a plan.

We need the Grace of God to plan our lives and days. Our key verse today says that the plans of the diligent leads surely to abundance, but everyone who is hasty comes only to poverty.

We see from this scripture that prosperity is also attached to planning; and we can plan and fail if God is not involved in our lives.

Plan for your relationships, business, marriage, family, ministry, finance, health, relationship with God, etc,.

God loves you! He is your lover and only in you surrendering your life to him can you make perfect and precise plans for your life that will yield abundance.

Why not surrender to Him today?

You can begin a relationship now with the Lord Jesus Christ by saying this prayer:

Lord Jesus Christ  I acknowledge that I am a sinner,  I believe in your death and resurrection.  I ask you forgive me my sins,  I reject the devil and all his works and l welcome the Holy Spirit into my life.  I declare today I am born again and I am a child of God in Jesus name. Amen.

If you just said that prayer I welcome you to God's family. Look for a Bible believing church where God's word is taught and fellowship there.
