Welcome to Purposeful Living Today

Our Victory lies in the consciousness of who we are in Christ. It is my prayer that in this month of June, you and your family will walk in Victory. Keep reigning in life in Christ Jesus. God loves and has greater plans for you.

Fulfill Purpose Blog honors and celebrates you. Happy month of June.

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).

Fear is one thing that hinders us from the manifestation of who we are in Christ. Fear is not believing in God and His word.

Fear is trusting in yourself rather than in God.

Fear is faith in the devil's ability to harm you.

Fear is looking at your limited ability rather than looking at God's unlimited ability. There are big fears we are very aware of and little ones we may not even realize we have.

I have learned that it's very important to understand what fear is and how it works against us because if we don't, it can keep us from becoming what God created us to be, which means we won't fulfill our purpose in life.

Fear's Agenda

Fear is a tool the devil uses against us to make us miserable and destroy our lives. It begins as a thought and then creates emotions that can rule us.

It often becomes a very strong, intense feeling that tries to move us to make a foolish action or tries to prevent us from doing something that would be good for us. It prevents us from giving and doing our best. Fear is an enemy of maximizing our potentials.

This is because fear is such a common way that Satan attacks people's lives, fear is seen as the master spirit he uses to manipulate people and keep them out of God's will for their lives.

Simply put, fear is the opposite of faith. God wants us to walk by faith, and Satan wants us to walk by fear. Fear is not the nature of God,  Faith is the nature of God.

When we learn to live by faith and not let fear rule our life, we can live a fulfilling, glorious, peaceful, and joyful life in Christ.

Like I said before, fear begins with a thought.
Proverbs 23:7 tells us that "as [a man] thinks in his heart, so is he" (NKJV). I like to say it like this: Where the mind goes, the man follows.

How to overcome fear
This is why the Bible talks about meditating on the Word of God and having our minds renewed so we can know what God's will is (Romans 12:2).

Meditating means you roll the Scripture over and over in your mind until it becomes part of you.

Meditation takes information and turns it into revelation. Meditation is digesting the word of God in your spirit.

When you get a revelation about something, then you know that you know that you know it, and the truth of it sets you free from the lie that was holding you back from something God had for you.

Don't allow fear Hold You Back

I wonder how many people actually have potentials, gifts, and talents from God but they aren't using them because they tried and failed?

So many people are frustrated because they know they're not doing what they are meant to do and are letting fear rule their lives.

Dear, I want you to get this revelation that you're not going to ever be really happy if you don't fulfill your potential and be who God created you to be.

The key is to learn who you are in Christ and see yourself in Him.

When we become born again through a relationship with Jesus Christ, we actually become "recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do good works which God predestined for us, this means living the good life which God has prearranged and made ready for us to live" (Ephesians 2:10).

"Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world"(1 John 4:17).

So whatever Jesus is, we are too. He is strong, and in Him, we are strong. He is courageous; in Him, we are courageous. He is a conqueror, so we can be too.

He has peace and joy, so we have peace and joy. He is loving, so we can be too. He is capable and bold. In Christ, we can do whatever we need to do with His boldness.

As you study the Bible and meditate on what God says about you, you will be able to recognize the fears in your life that are holding you back and overcome them by seeing yourself in Christ.

Then you will find you have whatever you need to do what you are created to do. Don't allow fear to
rule your life this month.

God has given us not the spirit of fear, but that of sonship, boldness, power, love, sound mind, and self-control. The more we look at Jesus and not on ourselves will make us believe in Him and put our trust in Him in every circumstance of life.

Fear is taking our eyes away from Jesus when He bids us walk on water with Him... Walk on the storm of life looking at Jesus Christ, this is how you overcome fear and live by faith. Jesus is too faithful to fail you.

You can begin a relationship now with the Lord Jesus Christ who loves you more than anyone on earth and will lead you to a man who will value you by saying this prayer:

Lord Jesus Christ, I acknowledge that I am a sinner,  I believe in your death and resurrection.  I ask you to forgive me my sins,  I reject the devil and all his works and l welcome the Holy Spirit into my life.  I declare today I am born again and I am a child of God in Jesus' name. Amen.

If you just said that prayer I welcome you to God's family. Look for a Bible-believing church where God's word is taught and fellowship there.
