Welcome to Purposeful living today. It is with great joy I welcome you once again to a Year of MULTIPLICATION OF GRACE. It is going to be Purposeful Advancement all the way and you certainly will say this is MY APPOINTED TIME.

See 5 very important thing you need to know as you begin this new year

Today let's look at the right age to get married.

"I thought age should speak, And increased years should teach wisdom" (Job 32:7).

Is there a right age to get married?
Most persons are in their late 20's and 30's but not married though they have lots of achievement in life which we term them old enough to get married and we see young people in their early 20's getting married which we term too young to get married. The truth is that there is no specific age for marriage.

The right age for getting married:
I know you are expecting to give a rule of thumb that states for example a girl should marry at 25 and a guy at 30. Well i will disappoint you, I will only tell you the truth you need to know amidst the lies in our society today.

So what is this truth?
The truth is that you should get married when you are matured not when you have gotten to a particular age. Marriage is not for boys but for men, not for girls but for women and your transition to the marriage stage is defined by your maturity. Now this does not support under age marriage, because every nation has an age where they see you as responsible enough to make your decisions and you will be held accountable for your decisions. In Nigeria, Kenya, USA and other countries at 18 years you are seen as matured to make decisions and you are seen as an adult.

There is no "too young or too old" in getting married, it becomes too young when it is under age which is an age below a country's legal age for adulthood.

I have seen people who are in their late 30's but are not matured and I have seen people in their teens and early 20's who are matured. Maturity is not an age factor but a personal development factor.

So the age for marriage is the age when you know that you are matured enough to be married.

Now the maturity we are looking are; Spiritual maturity emotional maturity, financial maturity, relational maturity and psychological maturity.

Maturity is when you are responsible for you actions and ready to handle life challenges without playing the blame game on anyone.

The question should be when are you matured to get married? Not if you are too young or too old to get married?

So teach us to number our days, That we may present to You a heart of wisdom" (Psalm 90:12).

You build to maturity when you are investing in yourself daily, renew your mind. This is when you choose to invest in your intimacy with God, mediating on the word,  in books, audio and video messages that will inspire you to fulfill God's purpose for  your life.

You need to build a relationship with God to create the future you desire. Without Him you can do nothing (John 15:5).  Life is spiritual and humanity is in need of the help of divinity on earth. You need to partner with God so He can do for you that which you can't do for yourself.

You can begin a relationship now with the Lord Jesus Christ by saying this prayer:
Lord Jesus Christ  I acknowledge that I am a sinner,  I believe in your death and resurrection.  I ask you forgive me my sins,  I reject the devil and all his works and l welcome the Holy Spirit into my life.  I declare today I am born again and I am a child of God in Jesus name .Amen .
If you just said that prayer I welcome you to God's family. Look for a Bible believing church where God's word is taught and fellowship there.
