One of the major instrumentality of the devil in this end time is to cripple the destinies of many young people through the power of LUST.

Lust is triggered today most especially through the mass media that influences us with ideologies that have nothing to do with reality. They paint a negative picture in our mind about life, we don't know that these pictures are negative because they come enticing and very attractive. When we are face to face with life we then know that those pictures were just LIES and FANTASIES.

When lust is heard, it is always narrowed to sex. Sexual lust is just a portion of lust; there is lust for luxury, power, fame, sport, phone, television, food, clothes, career, money...the list is endless because anything can become an object of lust.

What is Lust?
According to Wikipedia, "Lust is the psychological force producing intense wanting for an object or circumstance fulfilling the emotion".

Biblically, lust is anything that exalts it self against God (anything that takes the place of God in your life) . It makes you to sin against God. You did not go the church because your favourite football club is playing at the same time when you have fellowship - this is lust for sport.

Lust gives us unquenchable thirst for more and more... More of what is evil, more of what we don't have the right to own  and engage in now, more of fulfilling our desires at the expense of others.

Lust is the sinful nature in man that is contrary to the will of God.

The bible talks about three ways sin creeps in our life (1 John 2:16).

A. The lust of the flesh: Our desire to give our body what it wants even when we know it is a sin, like gossiping, stealing, sexual immortality, drugs...

B. The lust of the Eyes: Our desire to possess what we see even when it is a sin. David saw Bathsheba and slept with  her because he saw her and could not control his eyes so he can control his thought. This why Job made covenant with His Eyes (Job 31:1).

C. The pride of life: Our desire for self glorification. We tend to take the place of God in our lives, instead of appreciating and giving God glory, we give ourselves the credit. This is how Lucifer(the shinning one or light bearer) became Satan ( the adversary or enemy).

What is love?
This is the affection you have for a person; to affect them positively,  to give your best to the person and make him/her better than you met them. God showed His love to us by giving us Jesus Christ who came to make our lives better, gave us access to God, made us joint heir of the kingdom.

10 Signs you are in lust or in Love:

1. Love is obedient to the will of God and seeking to please God. God is love (1John 4:8). Lust Seeks to fulfill  its human desires apart from God, then this causes man to live in sin. Therefore we must understand that lust works based on feelings but love works based on living in the will of God ( the word of God).

2. Love is a giver while lust looks for what to  take from you and not concerned about how you feel.

3. Love is selfless (unconditional) while lust is self centered. Lust claims to love you because he wants to fulfill his desires and once he is done he forgets your existence (conditional). This was why Amnon raped his half sister Tamar (2 Samuel 13).

4. Love is patient, lust wants it now. The guy is all over you, give him the sex he wants and then he will forget he ever told you that you are the Queen of his heart.

Don't forget this: Love grows slowly and it roots get deeper

5. Love does not seek its own, it puts others before itself, lust put itself first. You find it difficult to spend time with God daily but you  have time to be on social media for hours, having  irrelevant discussions...

6.Love forgives but lust condemns you and brings out the worst in you.

7. Love is a builder of life and destiny, lust is a destroyer of life and destiny.

Lovers are destiny helpers, lusters are destiny destroyers.

Lovers are destiny helpers, lusters are destiny destroyers. Lovers persons that are Partners in progress in the journey of life, they don't bring each other down but always climbing up to new levels of greatness.

8. Love will draw you closer to God, lust will create a distant fellowship between you and God.

9. Love  thinks of the future result of your actions, lust thinks of the pleasure of today and blinded of the regret in the future of today's action.

10. Love builds your confidence in who you are in God, walking in lust results in low self-esteem. It makes you to be pitied rather than being envied as a carrier of God's Glory.

Are you living in love or lust?
Friend, God call us to walk in love (Ephesians 5:2) and not in lust (Galatians 5:19-21). We are God's children when we walk in love no matter how we feel. God commands us to love our neighbor as ourselves. The things you don't want others to do to you, don't do to them.

God loves you! He is your lover and only in you surrendering your life to him, you will the power over lust. Why not surrender to Him today?

You can begin a relationship right now with the lord Jesus Christ by saying this prayer:

Lord Jesus Christ  I acknowledge that I am a sinner,  I believe in your death and resurrection.  I ask you forgive me my sins,  I reject the devil and all his works and l welcome the Holy Spirit into my life.  I declare today I am born again and I am a child of God in Jesus name .Amen .

If you just said that prayer I welcome you to God's family. Look for a Bible believing church where God's word is taught and fellowship there.
