Welcome to purposeful living today. I am always elated to have you here. Thanks for always visiting and sharing this blog with your friends. May God bless you very much! This weekend is Blessed for your sake.
"The lazy man is full of Excuses. I can't go to work! he says if I go outside I might meet a lion in the street and be killed!" (Proverbs 22:13 TLB).

Today we will end the series on what a lady should know before saying "Yes" to a guy in marriage. These are three basic things she should know. We began with she should know her identity in the Part 1 and Part 2   we said she should know her roles.
Today we will be looking at:
"Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord" ( Ephesians 5:22).
Today, one of the most difficult concepts in God’s Word is "submission." The word submission is not limited to wives alone. For example, Christians are to submit themselves to each other ( Ephesians 5:21 ), to government ( Romans 13:1 ), and unto God ( James 4:7 ). This is a frequent concept in the Bible.  Self-sacrifice is required in each circumstance. Submission is never glossed over to be seen as easy or always convenient. Instead, it is viewed as service unto God.
Women submitting to men:
When most ladies hear the word submission, it itch their ears as it looks like putting a sharp object in their ears, they don't want to hear it.  They believe they should show to their husbands that they have equal rights with them. They can't allow their husbands to lead them, they want to be in charge and also take the lead in the home. Truth be told you can't have two pilot that want to pilot a plane at the same time; it will not work there will not be peace, unity and progress in that plane. One pilot will have to step down for the other to lead. This is God's design for marriage not the world's design for marriage that claims men and women have equal rights in the home (feminism).
God told the man to love his wife and the woman to submit to the man  who is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the Church(Ephesians 5:22-25) this is the only order when both parties play their roles they will be entitled to a blissful heaven on earth marriage.
If we want God’s blessing (and all His commandments are designed for the good of both men and women), then we must deliberately cast off the world’s ways. Both the domineering thinking of men,  the feminist thinking of women and seek to understand and obey God's clear commandments on marriage, however odd they may seem to our culture.
Submission means to put oneself in rank under another person. It implies taking on the mindset of a servant, where instead of expecting others to cater for you and your needs, you look out for and seek to meet their needs.
The Greek word for submission is hupotasso, “to subordinate that is to put under…” God exhorts women to voluntarily follow their husband’s leadership ( Ephesians 5:22 , 1 Peter 3:1). A woman is actively doing this - choosing to put herself under leadership, choosing to be subordinate in a circumstance or relationship. This is not forced upon her by the recipient. It has nothing to do with value. It those not mean you are lesser and he is greater, it is just a God ordained structure for  marriage. Jesus and the Father are one but when Jesus was on earth He submitted to the will of the Father (Matthew 26:39), did this make him lesser than the Father? No it didn't, it was God's  ordained structure to birth His will on earth.
My lady have you learnt the act of submission?
You can learn the act of submission by how you relate with your Father, mentors, leaders, friends, fiancee and those God has placed you under their authority.
Being authoritative, Stubborn,  self- willed and having a nagging attitude will not make you a loving wife and you will not enjoy your marriage that way. It takes humility to be submissive. You are not a fool when you submit but you gain more power when you do. Jesus submitted to the will of the Father though He was God took the form of a servant, this is what God did to Him:
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father" ( Philippians 2:9-11 KJV).
"The prize of submission is exaltation and honor that is more than you deserve."
A lady should submit to a man when he deserves and does not deserve it. She is doing it for the Glory of God who has made the man her head just as she submit to unto God.
A man should love his wife when she does deserve it and does not deserve it. Just as Christ loves the Church unconditionally.
This is God's will in the issue of marriage
We need the Grace of God to both love and submit unconditionally. We should ask God always for His Grace in prayer to do this and He will surely give us His Grace in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
I believe we have been a  blessing to you this week. Join us on Monday for another inspiring episode of purposeful living today. Please we will love to read your feedback on this topic in the comment box below or send a mail to Thanks.
You need God to be the virtuous woman and Loving man he wants you to be and this can only be done when you surrender your life to the lordship of Jesus Christ.
You can begin a relationship now with the lord Jesus Christ by saying this prayer:
Lord Jesus Christ  I acknowledge that I am a sinner,  I believe in your death and resurrection.  I ask you forgive me my sins,  I reject the devil and all his works and l welcome the Holy Spirit into my life.  I declare today I am born again and I am a child of God in Jesus name .Amen .
If you just said that prayer I welcome you to God's family. Look for a Bible believing church where God's word is taught and fellowship there.
If you made this decision please send a mail to
Thank you, we love and celebrate you.
