CREATING THE FUTURE YOU DESIRE (PART 1)

Welcome to Purposeful Living Today.

I believe you had an amazing weekend. I pray this week God will give you Wisdom for your next level.

This week we begin a series on CREATING THE FUTURE YOU DESIRE

The future you want to feature in must be created by you. You decide what you want and don't want to see in your life. God has given you the ability to create your future this is why He gave man dominion and told the man to be fruitful and multiply on earth:

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth (Genesis 1:26-28 KJV).

God is not responsible for your failure or success you are! God has given us all we need to dominate the earth it is only through the discovery of the principles of life as embedded in the word of God that are we going to become successful. You are created in His image and likeness, whatever can't be found in God should not be found in you. Allow His word to transform your mind and equip you for the task ahead.

This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. (Joshua 1:8 KJV).

As we set our minds to meditate on the things of God we, therefore, possess what we need to create the future we desire (Romans 12:1-2).

God will not leave heaven and come to earth to do the things you are to do for yourself. He has given you the dominion over the earth in Christ Jesus. He will not come to your kitchen to cook for you, neither will He open your mouth after you have cooked to feed you. You have to do it yourself that is why He gave you hands.

The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. Abraham Lincoln.

You have to be RESPONSIBLE for your life and God will be responsible for the things that are beyond your ability. This was what made Joseph flee from fornication with Potiphar's wife ( Genesis 39: 7-12).

He knew he was responsible first to God, his family, his generation, and his nation for the decision that the makes. If he had committed that sin, do you think he would still become the Prime minister of Egypt at that time and greater in position than Potiphar whose wife wanted to lure Joseph to bed with her?

Dear friend, what is that act, character, habit, or behavior that is about to destroy your enviable destiny? The pleasure is just for a little time but the pain will last your lifetime...it is time to flee like Joseph before it destroys you.

Always look at the future you want to create not the present circumstances of your life right now. Don't be discouraged to give up too soon!  (Hebrews 12:2).

The world is waiting and generations rely on the choice you make with your life right now!

Life is about your choice, whatever you are today is a product of the choice you made or did not make yesterday. The man who was sentenced to life imprisonment for murder is there based on the choice he made some years ago that He will do anything to become wealthy even if it is to kill. He actually did kill and now is in life imprisonment at the expense of his enviable destiny, the wealth he is not even enjoying. This was a foolish decision he made!

If God had destined him to be a great entrepreneur he has mortgaged that future to become an assassin and there will be no great future he can look up to except God has mercy on him and he is set free from prison.

Dear friend, who you are today is the future you created yesterday.
Create the future today of the kind of wife, husband, friend, father, mother, sibling, family, colleague, professional, minister of the gospel...that you want to be.

If you don't create it you can't become it.

The prostitute today created that future yesterday. Business mogul like Aliko Dangote created that future yesterday. Great ministers of God like Pastor Enoch Adeboye, Bishop David Oyedepo, Pastor Benny Hinn, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, Pastor Paul Enenche, and a host of other great men of God created their future.

What are you creating today for your future?

On Wednesday we will be looking at how to create the future you desire.

You need a relationship with God to create the future you desire. Without Him, you can do nothing (John 15:5).  Life is spiritual and humanity is in need of the help of divinity on earth. You need to partner with God so He can do for you that which you can't do for yourself.

You can begin a relationship now with the Lord Jesus Christ by saying this prayer:
Lord Jesus Christ, I acknowledge that I am a sinner,  I believe in your death and resurrection.  I ask you to forgive me my sins,  I reject the devil and all his works and l welcome the Holy Spirit into my life.  I declare today I am born again and I am a child of God in Jesus' name. Amen.

If you just said that prayer I welcome you to God's family. Look for a Bible-believing church where God's word is taught and fellowship there.
