CREATING THE FUTURE YOU DESIRE. PART 2

Welcome to purposeful living today. Hope you had a great night rest? You are blessed without measured.
On Monday we began the series on CREATING THE FUTURE YOU DESIRE. We began with a powerful introduction on what it means to create the future you desire.
Today we will continue with how you can create the future you desire:
1. LAYING THE FOUNDATION OF YOUR FUTURE:
"storing up for themselves the treasure of a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is life indeed" (1 Timothy 6:19).

In order for you to build a house that will stand in test of time, you must begin by laying a solid foundation.
A foundation is the element of an architectural structure which connects it to the ground, and transfers loads from the structure to the ground. Foundations are generally considered either shallow or deep. The foundation is what determines the height and weight of the building. The foundation of a two story building is different from that of a skyscraper; that of a skyscraper must be deeper and stronger.
Life is built on the foundation you have laid. Even God had to lay the foundation of the earth:

"He established the earth upon its foundations, So that it will not totter forever and ever" ( Psalm 104:5).

This shows that nothing of worth comes without the price of laying a solid foundation.

"Your success and failure can be attributed to the foundation you have laid".

Imagine God himself laying a foundation for the earth, no wonder it has survived millions of years and still standing strong.
What foundation have you laid for the future you desire?

"A man who does not lay a solid foundation for his life will one day crash out of life and destiny untimely".

It is the poor financial foundation a 60 year old man lays for himself while he was young is the reason he is still laying bricks to survive today because of poverty.

What foundation are you laying for your children, wife, husband, marriage, career, friendships, finances etc?

The foundation you lay for your future is what determines the future you feature in. You can't lay your foundation as a prostitute and expect to have a peaceful and loving home in future. You can't lay the foundation of immoral relationships and build a home of fidelity where your wife and children are happy with you.

A broken home is a product a poor martial foundation as a single.

This is why as a single the way you relate with the opposite sex matters to the kind of marriage you will build in future.

"If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?" ( Psalms 11:3).

How strong is your foundation, can it stand in test of time?

Your foundation is made of some component which are your belief system, values, knowing your worth,  associations,  character make-up, act of responsibility for your life, what and who you are living for.

"having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the corner stone" (Ephesians 2:20).

How do you lay the foundation of your future?
You cannot lay the foundation of your future by yourself, it is just like a building saying it can lay its foundation by itself. The building will need a bricklayer to dig and setup its foundation. In like manner no man can lay the foundation that will make Him leave for the glory of God without Jesus Christ.

"For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ" ( 1 Corinthians 3:11).

All Other foundation are sinking sand, they can't last long whenever any challenge comes the building comes down. These other foundations are laid in sin and in the flesh, with this foundation man cannot please God and cannot fulfil his destiny in God.

Remember that you are God's building and Christ Jesus is the Chief corner stone of this building, so when you choose to leave God to build another foundation in the flesh it will be destroyed.

When we have Christ Jesus as our solid foundation we are sure to have  godly character, our belief system, values, character, worth being championed and renewed by God's word as we meditate on it we become more like Christ and possess his mindset.

The only way out to create the future you desire is to lay your foundation in Christ.

Yes! The foundation of your relationships, marriage, academics, business, career and all you do should be in Christ.  For it is Him we live, move and have our being (Acts 17:28).

For this is contained in Scripture: "BEHOLD, I LAY IN ZION A CHOICE STONE, A PRECIOUS CORNER stone, AND HE WHO BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED" (1 Peter 2:6).
How do we lay our foundation in Christ?

We do this first by surrendering our lives to Him, living for Him; this has to do with constant fellowship with Him in the place of prayers and in the study of the word.

"4. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. 5. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing" ( John 15:4-5 KJV).

Why lay my foundation in Christ?
He died on the Cross and rose on the third day from the dead to restore man back to God in fellowship, in authority as it was before Adam sinned and to give man power over the devil and all his works.

"YOUR FOUNDATION TODAY DETERMINES YOUR DESTINATION TOMORROW IN LIFE AND ETERNITY."

Laying your life and future in the devil equals destruction both in time and eternity. He has not ended his mission statement which is to Steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10). Be smart and wise to run to Christ who is the rock that never fails to lay your foundation in Him...to be continued on Friday.

You need to a relationship with God to create the future you desire and lay a solid foundation for your future. Without Him you can do nothing (John 15:5).  Life is spiritual and humanity is in need of the help of divinity on earth. You need to partner with God so He can do for you that which you can't do for yourself.

You can begin a relationship now with the lord Jesus Christ by saying this prayer:
Lord Jesus Christ  I acknowledge that I am a sinner,  I believe in your death and resurrection.  I ask you forgive me my sins,  I reject the devil and all his works and l welcome the Holy Spirit into my life.  I declare today I am born again and I am a child of God in Jesus name .Amen .
If you just said that prayer I welcome you to God's family. Look for a Bible believing church where God's word is taught and fellowship there.
