Today I want to share with you some of the truths I have discovered about sex.
The subject of sex to many is unholy...

Dear, know that life is all about living for a purpose when you are not then you are just existing... God never made a mistake in creating you. He made you for a Purpose ( Jeremiah 29:11).

The subject of sex to many is unholy, see here on Is sex a Sin?  I remember while growing up you dare not mention the word sex, you may have a free slap on your face and you will be ready to face a panel that will question you on who told you and where you heard it from?

You will  become a suspect from that day, you will certainly be thoroughly investigated against  symptoms 😀

This was how many of us grew up without sex education. The only thing most people knew was pornography and this is how the addiction of many to pornography began. They thought it was fun, but they never knew the effect it had on their mind, destiny, relationship, and life... Nobody told them the truth, they were only told to run from the opposite sex.

The church hardly preach a sermon on this especially to our young people who are vulnerable to the lies of the devil about sex in this technology age. Since the church refuses to teach her young people the devil has been doing this through the media for free — you hardly watch a movie without a sex scene — this is a strategy of the devil to destroy the lives and destiny of young people through engaging with sexual immorality. No wonder we have people who are Christians living in the sin of homosexuality, erotica, bestiality, bisexuality, fornication, adultery sinful lust, pornography, and pedophilia.

These persons find nothing wrong living this sinful lifestyle. This is never God's will, in the beginning, God did not create Adam and Steve neither did he create Eve and Esther... The church must stand up to protect the young people by teaching her God's will in all aspects of life.

So let's look at some truth about sex:

1. Sex is Godly:

"So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them." (Genesis 1:27).

Most people have the ideology that sex is a sin and it is not from God. Sex was created by God and like every other thing He created and He said it was good. Sex is good, it is holy, it becomes a sin when done outside God's order which is in a sacred marital union. The sexual feelings you have is not unholy or ungodly. It is God that put that feeling in you and He did so for a purpose, but it will be expressed at the right time in a God-ordained marital union.

2. Sex is a gift:

Sex is a God-given gift to a man and woman to enjoy ( Proverbs 5:15-19). Just as life is a gift, so is sex a gift. You don't have to pay for it, it was never made to be bought or sold as it is done today. God gave you your sexual desires and your body as a gift.

Every gift can be used or abused, this shows your value for the gift and the giver. Every gift is given for a purpose. When you sell your body you are a harlot, no matter the reason it is done. You devalue your body and you show no respect and fear of God in your heart - know that God loves you specially, so repent.

Sex is a sacred gift for married couples committed to each other, not for unmarried persons. This gift is for your pleasure and for His glory (Isaiah 43:21).

3. Sex is for a Season:

The bible says there is time for everything under the sun (Eccl 3:1). There is a time for you to abstain from sex because you are not married and there is a time to engage in it.

God has a constituted order for sex and this is only in the holy matrimony of a man and woman. Anything outside of this order is a sin, it does not matter what you call it. If it's between two unmarried male and female the bible calls it the sin of fornication when done by someone married with a person, not their spouse it is called adultery.

This is what God says: "Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge." ( Hebrews 13:4).

This means that the only ground permitted for sexual activity is in marriage, if you do it outside this God said order you are defiling the bed.

4. Sex is for a Reason:

"And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth." (Genesis 1:28).

Sex has two very important reasons which are for "procreation" and "pleasure" they both have a multiplier effect in a marital union. Procreation is to give birth to children. Pleasure is to increase the bond between partners ( Prov 5:15-19).

5. Sex is a Spiritual and is a Covenant:

Sex is more than just a physical act it's spiritual, it has to do with blood. It's two persons becoming one. You become spiritual, mentally, and emotionally connected to anyone you have sex with.

This is why most people are living a scattered life, nothing seems working for them. Some young people's destiny have been tied down through sexual immorality. It takes prayer to break from such ties. This is how the bible puts it: "Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of a harlot? God forbid. What? know ye not that he which is joined to a harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh." ( 1 Corinthians 6:15-16).

Before you think about having sex:

1. Do you have the permission of God to do it with that person?
2. Do you think you can do with your body what you want? - You have forgotten that you don't own your body but God does - "Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's." ( 1 Corinthians 6:18-20).
3. Whose temple is your body? Is it the Holy Spirit or for demons? If it's for the Holy Spirit then you have to stay holy, stay away from every uncleanness.  The bible says your body is for the Holy Spirit and it has been bought with a price( the blood of Jesus).
Most times I hear people dating say they will only have sex if the person they are dating is ready. They don't even think about God and His command. They engage in it without having God-consciousness and honoring God with their bodies and in their relationship. This is what the Bible calls rebellion against God - you know the truth but you ignore it and you still continue in sin. If you love God you will keep His commandment not deriving your own commandment to suit your selfish desires.

Life is not about you, but it's about giving glory to God with your life. Everything God created is for your pleasure, it's only you that's for His pleasure (Isaiah 43:7).

Friend, sexual immorality is a sin against God, He will not change his standards because of you.

This is what He said in His word:
"Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. But in a great house, there are."( 2 Timothy 2:19).

Turn away from living in sexual immorality today and the only way is to invite the Lord Jesus into your life and surrender your body as an instrument of righteousness not of sin daily to Him. You can't help yourself out of it you need His ability. He loves you dearly, that is why He gave you His life. Click here to receive Christ.

  2. Thanks Mr Ola for opening up. If you have repented from the sin of fornication, God has forgiven because He loves you, then you have to trust God's grace to overcome any sexual sin and you also have to set boundaries for yourself like bringing her alone to your house, cohabiting, being with her alone in a secluded environment, unnecessary physical touch etc.

Don't forget your body is for God and He bought with the Blood of Jesus ( 1 Corinthians 6:18-20).
Thanks for sharing, hope I answered your question? You are blessed.
