THE STORY OF KIKAOSE ONYIBE; A LIFE WITH A SENSE OF PURPOSE.

Welcome to purposeful living today.
It is not the duration of your life that matters but the donation of your life.

I was inspired reading the story of this legend.
Her name is Kikaose Onyibe a 19 year old, second year Law student at Birmingham University, UK, she passed away on Wednesday, April 12th, during a surgery for ruptured appendix in a Lagos hospital. It was gathered that she died due to complications from the surgery. According to her best friend, Emmanuel Ayoola, she had traveled to Nigeria from the UK to receive treatment for what she thought was an infection but ended up being a ruptured appendix.
Responding to her mother's question on whether she was scared, just before she went in for the surgery, Kika said:

"I'm at peace. I know where I am going to if I don't come out and I  will be with Jesus".
Kika was full of life , dreams and aspirations .Above all , she loves God her creator dearly ; and she resolve to attend church regularly, assemble people together and talk at informal sessions with her friends.
A Facebook post on her wall on 27th May 2011 explains how passionate she was to God's kingdom advancement, she posted ” Can anyone tell me why it is so hard to pray, but easy to swear? , why clubs are growing and churches are shrinking? Why it is so hard to repost a Christian status but easy to post a gossip? Why we can worship a celebrity but not Jesus? Jesus said, if you deny me in front of your friends, I will deny you in front of my father. Repost if you’re not afraid of what your friends will think”.

Her life is an inspiration to every young Christian on having a passionate heart towards God no matter where we are and what happens to us. She was sick and was still making plans on how to go about evangelism on her campus.
She lived a life that was purpose driven as expressed by her best friend Emmanuel. According to him they had so much plans and things working on together; they were on a project of uniting fellowship leaders on campus, they were working out plans on  supporting evangelism of fellowships on campus by giving out free bible, they were also working on a prayer support for fellowship leaders on their campus, this amongst others.
She turned every relationship she had on edifying and building each other in their walk with God, Ugo one of her friend confirmed this by saying they  were studying the book of Isaiah and shared dreams on kingdom advancement.
Friend, what is or will be your story?
Is your heart beating for God at all?
You are on campus what are you doing with the life God has given you?
Are you just going to church to fulfill all righteousness?
Can you boldly say right now like Kika, if you die you are going to meet Jesus?
Are you insulting God with the gift of life and relationships in immoral living?
What are you doing with the God given time, talent, skills and potentials He has given you?
Let's live for the Glory of our king
Place God first above all; your career, friendship, relationship, wealth, fame...
Be a God chaser and  His kingdom advancer on earth. Your life is a seed, sow it on the right soil (John 12:24). There is no time to waste, the kings business requires haste.
Kikaose Onyibe has shown us that life is not measured by the quantity of time we spend on earth but on quality of life  we live.

May her soul Rest in Peace.
WORD FOR THE DAY:
"For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.
KJV:For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
KJV:Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
KJV:Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.Mark 8:35-38"

If you have not given your life to Christ today is a great day to make Jesus the Lord of your life. Why not do that now!
Say this prayer: lord Jesus I believe in your death and resurrection, that you died for my sins. I receive forgiveness from my sins and ask that you come into heart and be my personal Lord and saviour. I welcome the Holy Spirit into my heart, I declare today that I am born again and I am a child of God in Jesus name. Amen.

  1. I am happy for her. I am glad she found Jesus before the appendix incident occurred because the final measure of sucess is where one spends eternity according to Mac Anderson.
